The White Kemp is located in the middle of the famous Romney Marsh, running North from the A259 Folkestone road
This is the Society's least visited venue due to restricted parking and the long walk required to get to the water from the parking area.
Definitely a water for the more intrepid angler, but those members prepared to make the effort will be rewarded by a plentiful river stuffed with wild, specimen fish.
Parking is restricted to just one small layby off of the A259, as shown on the guide maps below. So, be prepared to travel light as the water is a good few hundred metres from this point.
Species - Bleak, Bream, Carp, Chub Dace, Eels, Perch, Roach, Rudd, Pike, Tench
The coarse fish close season is enforced from 15 March until 15 June inclusive.
Directions
From Rye Station head towards Ashford on the A259 for 3.3 miles. At this point, the road will bear 90 degrees right, and you will see a small unmade layby on the left just before the corner's apex. Park here and make your way across the fields to the White Kemp.
